
Beijing, China – December 2023 – The 2nd UAV Detection and Countermeasure Technology Development Forum and Product Exhibition opened in Beijing with an impressive lineup of industry leaders, and BNT was proud to be among the invited participants. Hosted by the China Security & Protection Industry Association (CSPIA) and co-organized by the Unmanned System Security Committee of CSPIA, the Low-altitude Security Research Center of the People’s Public Security University of China, the General Aviation Branch of the China Information Industry Association, the Zhongguancun Public Trust Satellite Application Technology Industry Alliance, and Gobest Information Technology, the event drew global experts, system integrators, and government end-users. Widely regarded as one of the most influential counter-drone gatherings in China, the forum offered a packed schedule of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and live demonstrations.
A Forum Built on Substance, Not Just Showcases
Across several days, the main forum explored low-altitude airspace policy, the evolution of detection and countermeasure technologies, and real-world lessons from urban drone defense deployments. Parallel breakout sessions dove into spectrum sensing, directed-energy weapons, and drone swarm mitigation, drawing over a thousand professionals. Outside the conference halls, a multi-thousand-square-meter exhibition area hosted dozens of domestic and international companies displaying their latest detection sensors, jammers, and command-and-control platforms. The atmosphere buzzed with technical debate and business discussions—a clear sign of an industry responding urgently to escalating low-altitude security threats.

BNT’s Director, Ms. Gao Xin, took the stage during the main forum to deliver a keynote speech grounded squarely in operational reality. She walked attendees through the growing misuse of unauthorized Starlink terminals for beyond-visual-line-of-sight control, data exfiltration, and coordinated incursions, arguing that fixed-site jammers can no longer keep pace with today’s mobile threats. Gao introduced BNT’s latest approach to portable satellite-link denial, emphasizing that “full-band jamming capability that follows a single operator into complex terrain is the missing piece in next-generation counter-drone architecture.” Her remarks, tightly focused on the pain points facing border patrol, public security, and energy infrastructure protection teams, resonated strongly with the audience.
BNT-S900-B8: Balancing Power and Portability
At the exhibition, BNT’s booth drew a steady crowd, anchored by the newly launched Backpack Starlink Jammer BNT-S900-B8. The system packages eight independent 50 W jamming channels, a wideband software-defined radio exciter, and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery into a roughly 16 kg backpack, covering the core Ku-band downlink frequencies that Starlink terminals depend on. An external wired controller lets an operator select bands, adjust power, and trigger transmission on the move without removing the pack. A single battery supports 60 to 90 minutes of continuous operation.
Throughout the live demonstrations, BNT engineers switched seamlessly between directional high-gain horn antennas and omnidirectional whip antennas. In line-of-sight conditions, the directional mode achieved an effective stand-off range of several kilometers against Starlink terminals, while the omnidirectional mode created a 1 to 1.5 km isolation bubble for close-in protection. Both modes could be activated simultaneously, giving field commanders the ability to shape denied areas on the fly. This blend of tactical flexibility and raw portable power sparked intense interest among visiting professionals, and multiple frontline units expressed immediate trial intentions.

For BNT, the Beijing forum was far more than a product showcase—it was a catalyst for technical exchange and industry collaboration. Reflecting on the event, Ms. Gao Xin remarked, “Sharing the stage with so many leading minds to tackle the latest challenges in low-altitude security has been invigorating.
