  • Temperature Range: Portable and vehicle-mounted units are rated for full operational performance from -30°C to +60°C (-22°F to +140°F). For deployment in extreme cold, optional internal heaters maintain critical components above minimum startup temperature. Fixed-station equipment is typically housed in climate-controlled shelters but the outdoor antenna and RF head units are rated for -40°C to +65°C (-40°F to +149°F).

  • Ingress Protection (IP Rating): All outdoor components, including antennas, RF heads, and cable connectors, meet IP67 or IP68 standards. This ensures complete protection against dust ingress and immersion in water up to specified depths. Portable units are designed with sealed, gasketed enclosures and waterproof control interfaces. Vehicle-mounted systems use military-standard circular connectors with environmental sealing.

  • Humidity & Salt Fog: Systems intended for maritime or tropical environments feature conformal coating on all printed circuit boards, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy or stainless-steel hardware, and sealed waveguide feeds. We offer a dedicated maritime variant that has passed extended salt fog testing per MIL-STD-810.

  • Shock & Vibration: Our portable units meet MIL-STD-810 drop and transit shock requirements, allowing them to survive transport in military vehicles or airdrop conditions. Vehicle-mounted racks include wire-rope isolators or similar vibration damping mounts to protect internal electronics during high-mobility off-road operation.

  • Altitude: Air-cooled systems are designed to operate at altitudes up to 4,500 meters (15,000 ft). For high-altitude fixed installations, forced-air cooling with higher flow rates compensates for reduced air density. Conformal coating also protects against potential arc-over at reduced atmospheric pressure.

  • EMI/EMC Compliance: Systems are designed with robust shielding and filtering to meet military electromagnetic compatibility standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461), ensuring they do not interfere with co-located friendly communication or navigation equipment.
